Delegation members attend farewell party for Irish Ambassador. London – July 2007.

A number of knights and dames of the British and Irish Delegation attended the farewell party for the Irish Ambassador to the Court of St James’s His Excellency Mr Dáithí O'Ceallaigh. The reception was held at the Irish Embassy in London and among those attending were HE Anthony Bailey, Grand Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations, The Rt Hon Baroness Scotland of Asthal, QC, John Kennedy CBE, DL, and Dr Colin Smythe.

Ambassador O'Ceallaigh was invested at a Knight Commander of Merit with Star of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George in November 2003. His Excellency will shortly take up post in Geneva as the senior Irish diplomatic representative to the UN and WTO.

 

Irish Delegation Knights promoted within the Order of Malta and the Equestrian Order. Dublin – June 2007.

The Chancery of the British and Irish Delegation extends congratulations and best wishes to the following knights who have received promotion within the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre within Ireland.

Delegation Council meets at House of Lords. London - January 2007.

HE The Rt Hon Lord Brennan of Bibury, QC, hosted a Council Meeting of the Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland at the House of Lords in London. Among those attending were: HE Mr Anthony Bailey, Grand Magistral Delegate for the Inter-Religious Relations, The Rt Hon Prof Lord Alton of Liverpool, Mr Norman Gooding, Mr Dudley Heathcote, Mr John King, Colonel Thomas Ogilvie-Graham, Dr Colin Smythe and Delegation Secretary Miss Brannie Nacheva.
