Arundel Corpus Christi ProcessionArundel, June 2012. Several knights and dames of the Constantinian Order in Great Britain and Ireland attended the Corpus Christi Mass at Arundel Cathedral.

Following the mass a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament took place through the streets of Arundel in West Sussex and the gardens of the nearby Arundel Castle – home of the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk.

The Mass was celebrated by the Right Reverend Kieran Conry, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, and attended by Papal Knights and Dames.

Knights and dames of the British Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Lieutenancies of England and Wales and Ireland of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre were also present.

Among those attending were The Duchess of Norfolk, the Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland Mr Anthony Bailey, HSH Princess Marie Therese von Hohenberg and Mr D’Arcy Myers.

For over 100 years, Arundel Cathedral has celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi with a festival of flowers, which includes a magnificent carpet of flowers in the central aisle of the Cathedral and a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from the Cathedral to the courtyard of Arundel Castle, where Benediction is given.

The current Duke of Norfolk whose ancestor started the tradition was also present.
