Douay Martyrs1 copyLondon – January 2005. The British & Irish Delegation will be funding a yearly interfaith study prize at The Douay Martyrs School, based in Middlesex.

The prizes, which will bear the Order’s name, will be awarded each year to the best students in the following categories: Year 7 – Hinduism Prize; Year 8 – Judaism Prize and Year 9 – Islam Prize. A further award will be made for the best student who excels in the study of the Roman Catholic faith.

These awards were agreed following a visit by the British and Irish delegate, Mr Anthony Bailey, who delivered a speech at the school on the occasion of their annual prize giving ceremony. Headteacher Mrs Geraldine Davies warmly welcomed the initiative.
