d6London – February 2005. The Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, during his one-day visit to London, met with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon Gordon Brown, MP, at 11 Downing Street. Discussions were held concerning debt reduction to the third world.

His Eminence also called on Mrs Cherie Blair, QC, at 10 Downing Street and held separate talks with the wife of the British Prime Minister. At the conclusion of the meeting the Cardinal Archbishop of Washington met with the British Prime Minister, The Rt Hon Tony Blair, MP.

Lord Brennan, Delegation Council Member, co-ordinated and attended these meetings.
