London, 5 February 2013. The Bishop of Durham, the Right Reverend Justin Welby, has officially become the Archbishop of Canterbury at a ceremony which took place in St Paul’s Cathedral.
It was presided over by the Archbishop of York with the assistance of the Bishops of London, Winchester, Salisbury, Worcester, Rochester, Lincoln, Leicester and Norwich.

A message of congratulations from the British and Irish Delegation was sent to Archbishop Welby.
