London, November 2006. To mark three and a half centuries of British-Jewish Life, Knights and Dames of the British & Irish Delegation of the Constantinian Order and the Royal Order of Francis I attended a two hour celebration at the West London Synagogue in central London.

The moving ceremony was jointly hosted by Sir Sigmund Sternberg, President of the Movement for Reform Judaism, and Mr Morris Bentata, President of the West London Synagogue. Rabbi Mark Winer, Senior Rabbi and The Rt Rev Richard Chartres, Bishop of London, were among those who addressed the audience of prominent religious, governmental, parliamentary, civil and diplomatic representatives present.

The Order’s Delegation was led by the Grand Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations, HE Mr Anthony Bailey, in addition to Lady Sternberg and Mr Leo Simmonds, Secretary of the Association of Papal Orders in Great Britain.
