London, October 2017. The Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George was represented by Council member, Prince Don Cristoforo Rocco di Torrepadula at the Pontifical Divine Liturgy organised to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy in the United Kingdom.

The Liturgy held on 28 October 2017 at Westminster Cathedral in London was celebrated by His Beatitude Patriarch Sviatoslav, a number of Eastern Catholic Bishops and clergy, members of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, members of other Orthodox Churches and the Anglican Church with the participation of a large representation from the Ukrainian community.  HE Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, and the Most Rev Edward Joseph Adams, Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain were among those attending.

The invitation to the event was extended by Constantinian Chaplain, His Grace Bishop Hlib Lonchyna, eparchial Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Holy Family of London. The Constantinian Order and the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy enjoy longstanding and cordial relations in Britain, Canada and elsewhere.

In September 2017 the Order’s Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations, Anthony Bailey undertook a visit to several Ukrainian Catholic parishes in Canada including across Vancouver and Victoria at the invitation of the Bishop of New Westminster, The Most Rev Kenneth Nowakowski.
