leka_x2Tirana, September 2012. On behalf of the Order’s Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Castro, the Grand Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations and Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland, HE Mr Anthony Bailey, paid a courtesy call on HRH Crown Prince Leka II of the Albanians, Head of the Royal House of Albania at the Tirana Royal Residence.

The Grand Magistral Delegate extended warm wishes to the Crown Prince on behalf of the Head of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies.

Later the Crown Prince and his fiancé Miss Elia Zaharia entertained the Delegate and his wife HSH Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenberg to dinner in central Tirana.

Crown Prince Leka, is the son of the late King Leka I (1939–2011) and grandson of King Zog I (reign 1928-1939, died). It is expected that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Albania in November 2012, that the Albanian State will decree the return from Paris of the remains of the King Zog I to Albania and accord the late monarch a State Funeral. The King died in 1961 when Albania was a communist dictatorship.
