Paris, May 2015. Delegate of Great Britain and Ireland, Anthony Bailey, attended State Mass in memory of Emperor Napoleon I and the soldiers fallen for France on 5 May 2015 at the Cathedral of Saint-Louis des Invalides in Paris at the invitation by HIH Prince Jean-Christophe Napoleon, Vice President of the Royal Deputation of the Constantinian Order.

11011842_1101571343193281_3261397210491757048_nThe moving Mass was attended by senior figures of the French Republic and the Imperial Family of France headed by HIH Prince Napoleon.

The Mass was followed by a reception hosted by HIH the Dowager Princess Napoleon, where the Delegate Anthony met the former President of the French Republic, HE Mr Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.

11203158_1101887473161668_1878582452072295357_nDuring his stay in Paris, the Delegate also paid a private visit to the Grand Chancery of the National Order of the Legion d’Honneur – the highest honour of the French Republic founded by Emperor Napoleon I – at the invitation of its Grand Chancellor, Army General Jean-Louis Georgelin whom the had met the night before during the Mass.

The Delegate visited the unique museum of the Order, showcasing a magnificent collection of the Constantinian Order’s recently retired Grand Treasurer Ambassador Antonio Spada.
