Port-of-Spain, February 2015. HE Mr Anthony Bailey, OBE, in his capacity as Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, visited the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago between 2-3 February 2015.

During the visit His Excellency Mr Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago received Sir Anthony Bailey at the Office of the President in St. Ann’s.

The Magistral Delegate introduced His Excellency the President to the Constantinian Order’s spiritual, humanitarian, hospitaller and charitable initiatives across the world. Talks focused on the fields of education, national patrimony and inter-religious understanding, which is so clearly embedded in the national identity of this multi religious twin-island Caribbean state.

Anthony also extended the cordial good wishes of the Grand Master HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Siciles, Duke of Castro and the Grand Prior Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino.

The Magistral Delegate later attended a lunch hosted by HE Archbishop Nicola Girasoli, GCGCO, the Apostolic Nuncio, at the Apostolic Nunciature in Port-of-Spain. The lunch was attended by Msgr. Paweł Obiedziński, KGCO and Dr Lucretia Gabriel.

The occasion proved to be an excellent opportunity for the Constantinian Order to better know the significant work that the Apostolic Nunciature is doing with the Catholic and wider faith communities across the Caribbean region to further promote and strengthen the Catholic Faith and the ties between the Holy See and the region.

The visit to Trinidad and Tobago was part of a wider programme of activities in the Caribbean region during which Anthony Bailey visited St Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda and Grenada.
