CO FILondon, December 2014. On the occasion of the Feast of Christmas, the Delegation of Great Britain & Ireland has made a GBP £18,000 (approx. €23,570) donation to a number of adopted charities of the Delegation which include the All Party Pro Life Group, Blind Veterans UK, Citywise Dublin, Co-operation Ireland, Council of Christians & Jews, Forthspring Inter-Community Group, The Passage, St Peter’s Italian Church, St George’s Chapel Appeal and the Stroke Association.

All Party Pro Life Group: A forum established within the British parliament for discussion of pro-life issues including abortion, euthanasia and research upon the human embryo.

Blind Veterans UK: A national charity giving invaluable physical and emotional support to blind ex-Service men and women in the United Kingdom since 1915.

Co-operation Ireland: A charity underpinning the political agreement on the island of Ireland by building positive relationships at community level, both within Northern Ireland and between Northern Ireland and Ireland, through the promotion of mutual understanding and co-operation. Council of Christians and Jews: A charity which is Britain’s oldest national Christian/Jewish interfaith organisation, committed to addressing anti-Semitism and promoting Christian-Jewish dialogue.

A charity which brings together Catholics and Protestants in Belfast and to increase tolerance, understanding and trust by supporting people to talk about their religious, cultural and political similarities and differences within a safe space.
