Duke of Calabria visits NATO Base of Nisida1Nisida – June 2004. The Duke of Calabria, Grand Prefect of the Constantinian Order, paid a visit to the NATO Base of Nisida by invitation from Constantinian Knight, Admiral Ferdinando Sanfelice di Monteforte, Commanding Officer of the Naval Allied Forces of Southern Europe (COMNAVSOUTH).

The Duke of Calabria was accompanied by The Duchess of Calabria, Professor Leonardo Saviano, Consul Mariano Bruno and Mr Nicola Parascandolo, Vice Secretary General of the Grand Magistry in Rome.

During the visit, Admiral Sanfelice organised an operational briefing to stress NATO’s core role in the Mediterranean, in safeguarding peace as well as patrolling and controlling maritime activities.

During the official lunch in honour of The Duke of Calabria held at the seat of the Admiralty, Their Royal Highnesses talked with Admiral Gregory Johnson, Commanding Officer of the US Naval Forces in Europe.
