His Royal Highness Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro,


His Royal Highness, Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, succeeded his father in March 2008 as, Head of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies and as Grand Master of the internationally recognised dynastic orders pertaining to the Royal House. For many years served as The Duke of Castro is Grand Prefect of allthe dynastic Orders of Knighthood of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies and travels widely promoting and representing the Order throughout the world.

His Royal Highness was born in Saint-Raphaël on 24 February 1963 and studied at the Institute of the Marist Fathers in Toulon and later at the College Stanislas in Nice,France. After studying at the Université Internationale Libre of Paris, the Duke of Castro worked for three years in New York in a leading public relations company.

Returning to Italy, His Royal Highness carried out several professional activities at leading Italian industries and corporations.

For many years now he has taken a keen and active role in the management and direction of his Family’s businesses and estates. As Grand Prefect, The Duke of Castro has been personally managing the charitable, humanitarian, hospitaller and spiritual activities of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George in Italy as well as internationally. The Duke of Castro is fluent in Italian, French and English. Their Royal Highnesses currently have two children, HRH Princess Maria Carolina Chantal, Edoarda, Beatrice, Januaria of Bourbon Two Sicilies (born in Rome in 2003) and HRH Princess Maria Chiara Amalia Carola Louise Carmen of Bourbon Two Sicilies (born in Rome 2005).
