London, 5 October 2016. The Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland with much regret notes the passing of His Excellency Marchese Professor Aldo Pezzana Capranica del Grillo, GCJCO, former Grand Chancellor of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George. Marchese del Grillo was first invested into the Order in 1963 as a Knight of Merit and promoted to the rank of Bailiff Knight Grand Cross of Justice in 2011. He served with distinction and greatly contributed to the development of the Order across Italy and beyond.
Marchese del Grillo was an illustrious magistrate and the President of the Council of State of the Italian Republic. During his distinguished career he also held countless other positions within the Italian institutions and bodies.
