Rome, 6 May 2014. HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George has appointed HE Ambassador Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria dei Principi di Scilla Grand Prefect of the Order.
Prince Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, Bailiff Grand Cross of Justice with Collar of the Constantinian Collar was invested into the Order in 1994 and is a member of the Royal Deputation and is the Delegate for Milan and Lombardy.
The appointment of the new Grand Prefect aims to promote a better structuring of the Delegations in Italy and abroad, and to develop the internationalisation of the Constantinian Order after it was granted Consultative Status in 2011 to the United Nations in New York and where a special Delegation is already in operation that requires specific and operational references to all major countries of the nearly two hundred member states of the UN.
