8 March 2012. The Chancery regrets to announce the death of HE Ambassador Luigi Amaduzzi, a Knight Grand Cross of Merit of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George within the Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland.
Ambassador Amaduzzi was invested in 1998 and served on the Council of the Delegation until his death. During his forty years of diplomatic career, he served as Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Court of St James’s, as well as being the Italian Ambassador to NATO, United States of America, Russian Federation, Jordan and other countries. He was highly decorated and was awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO). He will be greatly missed.
