hungarypmBudapest, September 2012. His Excellency Dr Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary received the Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland, HE Mr Anthony Bailey during his visit to Budapest.

The one-hour meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Hungarian Parliament building. During the meeting the Deputy Prime Minister outlined the policies of the Hungarian Government, the constitutional changes recently enacted and the role of faith in public life in Hungary today.

At the conclusion of the meeting the Deputy Prime Minister presented a silver St Stephen’s 1000 year anniversary Medal to the Delegate.

During the visit Mr Bailey toured the magnificent buildings of the Hungarian Parliament accompanied by the Deputy Head of Protocol of the Prime Minister, Bence Horváth.

Dr Zsolt Semjén is also the Delegate of the Constantinian Order in Hungary and holds the rank of Knight Grand Cross of Grace which was bestowed on him by the Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Castro, on the occasion of his Official Visit to Hungary in 2011.

The Government of Hungary formally recognised the Constantinian Order in 2011.
