London – 25 April 2005. The British and Irish delegation hosted its annual St George’s Day reception at the Embassy of Bulgaria in central London courtesy of the Ambassador, HE Mr Valentin Dobrev. The event was attended by over 250 guests including many knights and dames of the Constantinian Order and the Order of Francis I. Members of the British Italian Society and the British Italian Law Society were also present.
During the reception the latest English language book on the cultural legacy of southern Italy was formally launched. The book is by Dr Jordan Lancaster and titled ‘In the Shadows of Vesuvius: A Cultural History of Naples’.
