Dublin, October 2012. Delegation knight Steven Wilkinson has informed the Chancery that following the publication by The Mail on Sunday on 3 April 2011 of an wholly inaccurate article entitled ‘Now leading Blair Fundraiser suspected on fixing Papal honours’ he referred the newspaper and its Chief Reporter Ian Gallagher to the Press Complaints Commission.
Last month the PCC secured the removal of the offending article and the publication of an apology to Mr Wilkinson, Mr Anthony Bailey and other donors mentioned within the article.
