Rome, September 2014. HE Mr Anthony Bailey, Secretary General of the Royal Order of Francis I, Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations and Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, visited Rome from 12-14 September 2014 at the invitation of the Grand Master of the Order, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro.

The visit commenced with a dinner hosted by the Grand Master and HRH The Duchess of Castro at Palazzo Borghese in Rome on 12 September 2014.

One of the key elements of the visit was a day-long meeting of the highest representatives and delegates of the Order from across Italy and around the world. The meeting was held at the Sala Convegni Ufficiali “Pio IX” on 13 September 2014.

Comprehensive discussions were held on all aspects of the charitable and spiritual engagement of the Order in Italy and across the world.

The meeting opened with prayer and blessing by HE Renato Raffaele, Cardinal Martino, Grand Prior of the Order.

Speeches were given by Grand Prefect, HE Ambassador Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, dei Principi di Scilla; Grand Chancellor, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies; Grand Inquisitor, HE Fabrizio Colonna dei Principi di Paliano; and Grand Treasurer of the Order, HE Notary Claudio Limontini.

The evening of 13 September 2014 saw an exquisite farewell dinner hosted by the Neapolitan Royal Family and its representatives across the world, held at Palazzo Colonna in Rome.

On Sunday 14 September 2014 the visit was concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass at the Basilica Dei SS Apostoli. The mass was celebrated by Grand Prior Cardinal Martino and held in the presence of TRH the Duke and Duchess of Castro, delegates and knights and dames of the Order from across Rome, Italy, and the world.

The Delegate for Argentina read the First lesson and the Delegate for Great Britain and Ireland read the Second lesson.
