e9Rome – September 2003. Delegations and groups of the Constantinian Order across the world celebrated the important Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, symbol of the Constantinian Order with celebratory Masses and by the demonstration of solidarity with the poor.

The Delegation of Lombardy attended Holy Mass in the Cathedral of Como and then visited the handicapped children Opera di Assistenza “Don Gnocchi”. Prof Massimo de Leonardis, from the Catholic University in Milan, gave a lecture on the life of its saintly Priest founder.

On the occasion of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross some knights from the Delegation of Liguria offered a crystal case for an ancient and precious XVIIth Century Cross which is kept in the Church of St. Gualberto in Vara di Urbe. After the Mass, Constantinian knight Raffaele Giordano, who co-ordinates the Constantinian volunteer activities for young people in the region of Liguria, noted the works that had been carried over many months including the provision of monthly supplies of foodstuffs. During this same period, young Constantinians collaborated with the local Caritas groups in donating coloured televisions to several nursing homes of the Province of Savona.
