London, September 2012. The Chancery of the British and Irish Delegation is pleased to announce the adoption of the Appeal to raise funds for the restoration and completion of St George’s Chapel at London’s Westminster Cathedral. This month the delegation made a charitable donation to the Appeal, thanks to the generosity of some of its knights and dames.
2010 marked the 100th anniversary of Westminster Cathedral. During the last century the Cathedral has been progressively decorated, with most of the side chapels now completed. The purpose of this Appeal is to complete the Chapel of St George and the English Martyrs which is one of the last two remaining undecorated chapels.
