Rome pilgrimageRome, January 2016. The Grand Magistry of the Constantinian Order in Rome has informed our Delegation of the upcoming International Pilgrimage to Rome, scheduled to take place on 13, 14 and 15 May 2016, as part of the Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy. All delegation knights, dames and medallists and their families and friends are invited to attend.

This important religious weekend will be led by the Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Castro, the Grand Prior, His Eminence Renato Raffaele Cardinal Martino and other high officials of our Order.

The Delegate HE Sir Anthony Bailey will be leading the British and Irish delegation on this important spiritual journey to the eternal city.

The provisional programme for the Pilgrimage is as follows:

Friday 13 May 2016

AM Departure from London / Dublin

PM Arrive to Hotel Princess **** – Via Andrea Ferrara 33, 00165 Roma

20:30 Welcome dinner at Hotel Princess held in the presence of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Castro and other dignitaries of the Order.

Saturday 14 May 2016

09:30 Guided tour * of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major (Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore), where the “Act of Entrustment” to the Virgin Mary will take place in prayer at the Icon of Protectress of the Roman People (Icona Salus Populi Romani).

Guided tour of the Basilica of St. John Lateran (Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterno) to include passing through the Holy Door and visit to the Scala Sancta and the Sancta Sanctorum chapel.

13:00 Lunch at Hotel Princess **** in the presence of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Castro and other dignitaries of the Order.

17:00 Holy Mass at the Altar of St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City State celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, Grand Prior.

Visit to St Peter’s Cupola and the Treasure Museum in Vatican City.

20:00 Dinner at the Circolo della Caccia, Palazzo Borghese in the presence of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Castro.

AM Visit to a religious institution benefiting from humanitarian assistance from the Constantinian Order (details will follow).

13:00 – Departing from Rome.

Guided tours in English, Italian, and French will be available.

The Constantinian Order will organise coach transfers within the city.

The detailed final programme will be communicated in due course.

The estimated total cost (excluding air fares) of the International Pilgrimage to Rome is €398 or £309 approximately per person on a single room basis.

If you wish to book a double room for single occupancy the total cost will rise to €456 or £356 approximately.

Couples sharing a double room will cost €656 or £512 approximately.

This amount covers:

2 nights at the four-star Hotel Princess, Via Andrea Ferrara 33, 00165 Roma.
Welcome dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday.
Events and transfers within the city of Rome.
Guide service in English, Italian and French languages.
