London, March 2017. A Meeting of the Council of the British and Irish Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George took place on 1 March 2017 at the King Edward VII Room at the Oxford and Cambridge Club in London SW1.

The two and a half hour Council Meeting was commenced with the reciting the Order’s Daily Prayer, followed by Prayer to St David.

The Council Members remembered in their prayers the members of the British and Irish Delegation who have passed away since the last Council Meeting in July 2016, namely: His Grace Gerald, 6th Duke of Westminster, Sir Sigmund Sternberg, Molly, The Dowager Marchioness of Salisbury, His Eminence Desmond, Cardinal Connell, Archbishop emeritus of Dublin.

All matters related to the Delegation including its events and activities, legal structures, spiritual needs, charitable, humanitarian, inter-religious activities, administration and staffing issues were discussed during the meeting.

The Council Members received reports from the Charity and Mass Committees.

The Delegate nominated The Rt Hon Lord Murphy of Torfaen as Vice- Delegate for Great Britain and the Council unanimously approved this appointment which will now be sent to Rome for ratification.

Among those attending the meeting chaired by the British and Irish Delegate, Anthony Bailey were fellow Council Members Prof The Lord Alton of Liverpool, Vice-Delegate The Rt Hon Lord Murphy of Torfaen, Prince Don Cristoforo Rocco di Torrepadula,  The Hon Alexander Brennan, Mr Andrew Rogers, Dr John McIntosh, Mr Kevin Hart and Mr Richard Model.
