Rome, May 2014. Following his appointment to the Sacred College of Cardinals, the Grand Master HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, has promoted motu proprio longstanding Delegation Chaplain His Eminence Vincent, Cardinal Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, to the honour and dignity of a Bailiff Grand Cross of Justice for Cardinals of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George.
His Eminence was invested in 1990 as an Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace and was later promoted during his term as Archbishop of Cardiff as a Ecclesiastical Knight Grand Cross of Grace.
Among other delegation members who hold the rank of Bailiff are His Eminence Cormac Cardinal Murphy-O’Connor, Prior of the British & Irish Delegation and Archbishop Emeritus of Westminster and His Eminence Desmond, Cardinal Connell, Chief Chaplain of Ireland of the Order and Archbishop Emeritus of Dublin.
